jorge ciccioli shows up again on rrygular. with his new release >southern tool< the argentinian dives really deep into the minimal genre. by focussing on the most important elements he created three handy and driving dj tools. and although the tunes are already well arranged there is room to experiment while playing. the track >sinatsuma< comes with a nice signature phrase that might get stuck in your head. the whole b face is reserved for the remix by franco cinelli who turned the main track into a dubby techhouse tune of almost 10min. nice one.

steve bug drops a new outstanding 12inch on his own highly prolific poker flat recordings. those grooves is the perfect primer for his upcoming album (due out in autumn 2012), and sees the man in fine form - masterfully in control of his sound and producing tracks with a depth of dancefloor knowledge most other producers would die for. those grooves, the lead track locks into its exquisitely crafted groove early on, holding a taut balance between its individual elements. mid way through its 10 minutes, bug drops the tempo and lets the groove breath, before bringing it all back home - an audacious late night club weapon. the flip side is no less dramatic � tell me why creeps up, evolving slowing but surely � before an edgy, freaked out bass line drops over the crisp drums. a true peak time burner with enough energy and tension to smash any floor.

on >work that shit party<, a fingers inc. style rhythm buttresses a two-note riff, a crackling male voice filtering in from the ether. a pinging keyboard zips around before that two-note flicker expands and contracts, warps and wheedles. but around halfway in, a female vocal refrain of >gonna work it out< breaks fat lacerations into pinholes, blaring keyboards seeping in through the gaps and crevices. then, as with >d117<, it is the congealing of all these disparate elements: a work it out from fischerspooners lizzy yoder sashaying with the two-note riff, the keyboards bouncing off the ceiling, and flaring hi-hats fraying the surface played by pat mahoney (lcd soundsystem). each portion is given its due, only to make the ensuing combination that much more enthralling.

london based welshman chamboche returns to the label that launched him with the smoke screen ep. his unquantifiable sound swerves genre classification, hovering around house but with enough musicality to please the hardened disco head. swirling pads and a bubbling bass line set down the groove, while keys fall around horns and vocals to make the lead track a refined, uplifting work out. slowly unfolding, the track is hypnotic and absorbing, showcasing the style of a producer as able to work the mind as the hips. bicep toughen up the drums and work the arpeggio, stripping down the track and bringing the chicago influence higher in the mix. while the original subtly unfolds, their remix demands attention from the outset, building to a climax then recoiling for another bite at the cherry. thinking big, krl ramps up the intensity with a bright, kinetic reworking. aimed squarely at the peak time, he harnesses all of smoke screen�s most propulsive elements to really work the floor. tucked away on the b side is the expansive mind your mind. trademark chamboche percussion is woven around a blissful riff, swelling majestically to round off the ep in slo(w) burning euphoria.

there are those records you like working on and then there are those records you love working on... this is one of those records we loved! we could not be more excited to welcome back to the camp, the beautiful, amazingly talented tamara wellons. along side her again on this journey at the helm is one of our favorite producers anto vitale that co writes and produces this project. the first time we laid ears on this single we knew what was in store for it, time to bring in the gang to put everyone to work and that we just did for this one. on the remix duties is the man in charge of the soulful movement dj spinna that gives us his signature deep vibes. if that was not enough we welcome back jose carretas that just murders his remix with just enough bounce for the clubs but keeps true to the deep house movement.next up is our good friend jonny montana that never strays from the true elements of deep house and gives us a mix that will be played for years to come with his timeless production. as we always say sit back relax and play this one loud!
